Opened in 1955 at a cost of $7.5 million, the Rochester War Memorial honors the men and women of Rochester who served in American wars. Home to the Rochester Americans of the AHL, the arena was renovated in 1998 and renamed the Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial. *©Michael S.
