"Buffalo Civic Stadium"

Civic Stadium

Fondly referred to as "The Rockpile", the stadium was home to the Buffalo Bills of the All American Football Conference (1946-1949), the AFC Buffalo Bills (1960-1972) and the Buffalo Bisons. Built in the 1930's, it also hosted stock car racing. Originally named Roesch Memorial Stadium in 1937, it was renamed Civic Stadium that same year until 1959 when it was changed to War Memorial Stadium.
