GG1 Electric

 The first GG1 electric locomotive went into service in 1935. Noted industrial designer Raymond Loewy created its unique appearance. The GG1 was intended for passenger service but was used occasionally for freight as well. Later in its service life, it was regeared exclusively for freight halling. The last GG1s were taken out of service in 1983.
