| Commonly referred to as "The House Ruth Built", Yankee Stadium was constructed in an amazing 284 days. Its inaugural game against the Red Sox was April 18, 1923 when 74,200 fans piled in. On that day, Babe hit a three run homer to christen the new park. This depiction of the great stadium is as it appeared in the 1950's. *©Michael S.
